I am training at a Catholic pregnancy center to counsel young girls on not having abortions, as well as teaching them about chastity if they find out they are not pregnant. I do not know of anyone who has had abortions, or even heard of any stories in where I could share with these girls that would be helpful. I was wondering if any of you have any stories that I could tell these young girls, or any other important information (about how their health will be affected, etc.) ?? Thanksss

Another resource I would recommend is Post Abortion Syndrome. This is like a post-traumatic stress disorder/postpartum depression for women who have had abortions. I have known several women who have had abortions and suffered from this - and Planned Parenthood refuses to acknowledge that it exists.

I did, but to be honest, i think a lot of these girls can be selfish and worry a lot of about themselves, so i want to say things that will make them think, not only for thier child, but for themselves. such as, their health risks, or that they will regret it, etc.
 
You should tell these young girls that they were supposed to bring life to this earth and not kill life. A woman was meant to bring life from her womb and raise it plus nourish it and help it grow. Their child could be the next president!

In my personal opinion, there is no reason to be aborting now in days where there are many ways to prevent pregnancy. Those that do abort is because they were very iresponsible for their actions and very ignorant as well. There are so many people out there that are trying to have babies or cant have any and struggling to have one. They should think twice before thinking of aborting. It would be very sad to hear them start crying later on in life because of what they did and the decision they made of aborting.
 
You might also want to try to explain scientifically that a fetus is human. Basicly, it goes like this : A fetus has human DNA. Since this is unique human DNA, this leaves 2 or 3 possibilities: It’s it’s own human being, not someone’s cell, or that it’s a cell mutation, such as cancer, or possibly some odd microbe that exists on cells (I don’t know enough explain that one very well and don’t know the proper term). Since it’s not an odd microbe or cell mutation such as cancer, and has it’s own unique human DNA, it’s scientfically a human being and it’s not just someone’s cell

and there is no other human being on earth with the same DNA. Each of us is special.

They refuse to acknowledge it exists because it doesn’t exist. It is not recognized by the American Psychiatric association as real. In fact, far more psychosis occurs after a pregnancy then an abortion, and societies that legalize abortions have less of these problems.

I am in the process of restoring the website life.org.nz which is a 600-1000 resource on Suicide Abortion & Euthanasia. I first became involved in the project because of my work in crisis pregnancy and post abortion counselling, as well as my skills as a researcher and journalist.

The development website is here for the next few weeks as I finish the work.

You will find much information that I believe will prove useful, especially as we wrote it avoiding the rhetoric and moralistic tone that would put off those who aren’t interested in anything but themselves.

I have had a doctor tell me how useful it was to be able to print out this information for his patients and secular colleagues.

If you happen to come across any broken links or irregular characters on pages you view, I would appreciate you letting me know as it is so easy to miss things in my urgency to get this website back online.
