I’m really hoping this will be the one-stop abortion thread to end all abortion threads. I’ve done a search and several threads come up, abortion and politics, why is abortion immoral, etc; but I can’t find what I’m looking for- cold, hard, statistics, to back up the aforementioned arguments. Occasionally a poster will add a link to a comment to some informational source, but they are few and far between, and making sense of the CDC website is making me :hypno:

I would very much appreciate, if we can make the best out of our posts here, and everyone contribute statistics, links, resources, of RECENT data- concerning abortion.

Information that would be particularly helpful to me would be how many are performed here in the US, how many by each race, how many by financial level, how many deaths are caused by the malpractice, etc.

Thank you all because I know you’ve been doing your homework on this issue for sometime and I look forward to passing all your information along 🙂

Randy Alcorn’s book, Pro-Life Answers to Pro-Choice Arguments, is excellent. I believe he put out a new edition not to long ago.

Abortion is immoral because it is murder. It’s as simply as that.

If you want real hard-core statistics, why don’t you just use google? You will find videos, statistics, and even websites that are pro-abortion. If you want to really find out about it, go to a planned parent hood place and ask the doctors and nurses yourself. They have planned parenthood in at least every state, usually several in every state. did you want me to send you a video of one? or a link or something? I mean google has everything, just look it up.

This is based on the under 20 crowd, but look at how many end in adoption 😦 thenationalcampaign.org/press/quickfacts.aspx

Corrected myths about adoption: prcswok.org/fivemyths.htm

And more about adoption: mtio.com/articles/aissar44.htm

If you can’t tell, I’m passionate about adoption since it is the “forgotten” option when discussing out-of-wedlock pregnancies in the US. Many on here talk about it, but in real life, very few do. I myself am adopted and have met my biological mother (I’m the child who turned out “good” according to her, I was the only child she placed for adoption). I have a cousin who placed a child for adoption. There is also a friend of the family who’s done the same. I watch a little girl who is adopted. And I also have relatives who’ve had abortions. There is such a difference in those who’ve aborted and those who’ve placed children for adoption.
