Let’s not take our eye off the goal where ALL babies, including those at the moment of fertilization, have a right to life.

You are correct. But any bill that passes that further restricts abortion is good in my mimd if even a little. Wittling away at abortion will slowly work it closer to the goal of gettimg rid of that horrible act. Sometimes change in small amoumts over time is easier to get accomplished.

I understand your point. My point was about the term “bargaining chips” that was used in the article - in reference to exceptions to abortion (e.g., rape an incest) - in a bill that would ban abortion at 20+ weeks. My point was a reminder that in bills that would ban all abortions at, say, 20+ weeks, supposedly without any exceptions, that there would still be an exception - where babies *younger *than 20 weeks would also seem to be used as “bargaining chips.” The author of the term “bargaining chips” in the article seems to have overlooked this point (about babies younger than 20 weeks in such a bill). All babies, including those at the moment of fertilization, have a right-to-life.

I am not catholic and have alot of disagreement s with some catholic teachings, but when it comes to the issue of abortion the catholic church has it correct 100% life begins at conxeption amd needs to be protected. I prolife without exception! !!
