is it true that if a catholic woman intends to marry a muslim, her fiancee is not to required to sign any contract for the dispensation?
in the case of my sister, she and her fiancee are getting along amazingly. we are all cradle catholics in the family, but im still so amazed at how he treats her. her treats her with great respect and they love each other very much; im sure it is true love. my sister cannot imagine not being married to him. our parents are also supportive of him because he is a God-fearing man and can truly be trusted with their daughter.
however, they both do not want to get married like any other couple who did not get a dispensation from the church because her fiancee insists that she should not be disobeying any rules of her faith.
what are the details and requirements for getting a dispensation?
what if they decide to not have children so there is no conflict(btw, is it a sin to not want kids? because my sister has not wanted children eversince she was a teenager, same with her fiancee)?
let’s say my sister signs a contract promising that if ever she had children, she would do everything in her power to raise them as catholic, would she then gain recognition for her marriage?
also, my sister said she read that the contract says the couple can’t emigrate to the muslim’s native country. does this means she cannot, or does it mean she cannot be forced? what happens if she is forced?
finally, i was asked by a muslim, if a catholic is granted permission to marry a muslim, after promising she would remain catholic, what happens when she decides to convert? is she simply considered an infidel?
i hope our questions will be answered…
iv asked questions in this site before but they haven’t been answered… please help
may God bless you.
