Okay, so what about Constantine? When some one found out I was Catholic they told me to enquire about Constantine as the beginning of Catholicism. I said the beginning of the Catholic Church was on Pentacost. Any explanation?

Dear PhilVaz, you are so great! Please write a book. It’s so sorely need. God bless, Annem

Do we really need another Dave Armstrong?

OK, OK, I’ll write 17 books then. Hee hee. 😛

It’s too much work! But I might consider it if I can figure out the online book publishers. Heck I’d like to see PhilVaz in print as much as anyone. 👍

Dear Phil,

I am perfectly serious. Do you know how many books out there about biblical scholarship are written by Catholics? Think hard. You may be able to think up 2 or 3 living writers, but that’s about it. And yet this is a time when the atheist publications roll off the presses by the hundreds.
It’s appalling, it’s heartbreaking. The Protestants do their best, and God bless them, but they don’t have the fullness of truth and so can’t answer many questions.
Try praying about it and see what the Holy Spirit says,
God bless, Annem

Let’s see…proposed PhilVaz apologetics book, chapter titles:

chapter 1: Arguments For God (100 pages)
chapter 2: The Historical Jesus (100 pages)
chapter 3: Parallel Pagan Gods? (50 pages)
chapter 4: Christianity and Other Religions (50 pages)
chapter 5: The Case For Catholicism (100 pages)
chapter 6: Creation, Evolution, or Both? (100 pages)

Nice 500 pages. 👍 Oh no now I have to do this.

with a forward by Dave Armstrong and blurb by Karl Keating. 😃

Your title should be:

Truth 101
PhilVaz Spills the Beans about God Stuff

…er, maybe not. 🙂

:shamrock2:

<< Truth 101: PhilVaz Spills the Beans about God Stuff >>

The Evangelical Catholic Apologetics Book: Why Catholics Should be Evangelical, Why Evangelicals Should be Catholic, and Why Atheists Should be Orthodox Evangelical Catholic Because Evangelical is an Adjective, Catholic is a Noun, and Orthodox is Both

Like those crazy long titles from the 17th, 18th century religious books.

Phil;

I think you should call your book Common Sense about God and Religion: A Catholic Perspective 🙂

Here is another voice in support of a PhilVaz book. Please. You are quite bright and your written communication is great and you even inject humor when needed.

If you cannot find a regular publisher, consider this place: www.lulu.com

PhilVaz -

Clearly you need an agent. The first thing you need to determine from your supporters is, " How much money are they willing to commit…in advance? They dont call me Philthy for nothin’…:yup:

Your book would then be more commonly known as the ECAB:WCSE,WESC,WASOECBEA,CN&OB book.

…or the Eekab: Weksee, Weskee, Waso-ekbee, Seen & Obb book.

…or just the Eekab, fer’ short! (for the “lazy”) 🙂

Or perhaps just “The PhilVaz Pages”.

My article excerpted from my longer anti-Da Vinci Code essay:

Emperor Constantine: Pagan, Christian, or first Pope?
Karl Keating also covered this bogus history long ago in Catholicism and Fundamentalism in the chapter on "Fanciful Histories" (courtesy of Google Book scans)

Part of that chapter is included in the CA tract "Is Catholicism Pagan?"

Phil PAnd here’s my own short form. 😃 http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h244/corona_stellarum/1 best/PaganizationofChurch-1.jpg

I’m glad to see that you put Evolution at #6. I’m hoping that you’d only have time to write 5. 🙂

… and I would enjoy and appreciate those 5 also.

Reg << I’m glad to see that you put Evolution at #6. I’m hoping that you’d only have time to write 5. >>

I can’t possibly leave out the “evolution question” if I am going to write a book. 😛 I am still deciding whether to do it since it will be a lot of editing down of the loooooooonnnnnnnggggg articles I have on my site.

I might “experiment” first by creating an amateur PDF book or something from my various articles. I could even make super-short chapter titles:

chapter 1: God (100 pages)
chapter 2: Jesus (100 pages)
chapter 3: Other Gods? (50 pages)
chapter 4: Other Religions? (50 pages)
chapter 5: The Case For Catholicism (100 pages)
chapter 6: Science and Faith (100 pages)

I like the chapter title “The Case for Catholicism” since it mimics Lee Strobel’s evangelical apologetics books. 👍

I could just call the book Evangelical Catholic Apologetics (title of my site) and make it very Christian-friendly ecumenical like, except for chapter 5 which would get into differences and disagreements.
