It’s because mohamad is not God’s prophet, mohamad was a self proclaimed prophet.

You obviously asked this question for a reason - what is your reason or inquiry regarding this…???

Prophet Jesus (pbuh) did indeed foretell the coming of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Have a look at this video.

Hamba - forget the video - I did not watch it…what ever you are representing, it is **not **in the Bible.

So, in closing… your prophet mohamad was NOT a prophet called by Jesus, or Moses or anyone in the Bible. God NEVER spoke to mohamad.

Jews don’t believe mohamad was a prophet of God

Christians don’t believe mohamad was a prohet of God

Why can’t islam stand on it’s own???

Why???

Theoretically He did:

(Matthew 7:15-17):
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.”

No offense, but can you point to somewhere in the new testament, not a motion picture made in a language that most of the staff didn’t fluently speak for holywood audiences, where Jesus forteold Muhammed in particular? I’m not familiar with the Quran, so explaining outside of a youtube video would be great.

And if that’s the case, how come Muslims disregard the New Testament? Are you going to try to tell me “every single book in the new testament is wrong except the verse that predicts the coming of Muhammed?”

The reason is that I have been getting an overview of Islam from a local Mosque who offer us
some lessons for those of us of mixed religions and backgrounds, who work and live among a multi-cultural society in England.

Surely this is the way forward, to be open minded and accommodating without compromising our own beliefs and in so doing others will learn about us and our beliefs, surely did not Jesus talk to the Samaritan woman at the well, as all Jews despised Samaritans.
Jesus did not preach that we should act like the Pharisees did with a ‘Holier Than Though’ attitude as some of us Christians tend to do.

I trust this web-site too is not a fortune telling website and not for entertainment as you put it -how dismissive of you and what an attitude this is my reason for the question.

Islam teaches that Christians and Jews who do not accept Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to be the Messenger of God are destined for the Hell-fire.

Since neither the Bible nor the Church teaches this, then this means that Islam is indeed standing on it’s own.

The Bible does not only prophesy about the coming of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), both the Old and New Testaments also tell of the coming of “ten thousands of saints” of which I have once dedicated a whole thread to explaining who they were.

All public revelation ended with the death of the last Apostle (John). If Jesus were to foretell any prophets to come after him (which he most certainly did NOT apart from warning against false prophets), it would violate the seal on public revelation.

The reason Jesus did not foretell the coming of Muhammad is because Muhammad is not a prophet. A simple test proves this:
  1. Islam teaches that the Quran is perfect and infallible.
  2. The Quran says the Trinity is God, Jesus, and Mary.
  3. The Trinity is God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
  4. Therefore, the Quran is wrong about the Trinity, and Muhammad could not have been the prophet he claimed to be.
Additionally, if Muhammad were a successor of Christ, and the last in the “line of prophets,” he would have recognized the Christ for what he was–the messiah. Jesus equates himself with God (aka–Light of the World), something only the Son of God could do. But Muhammad not only gets the Trinity wrong, he flippantly disregards the Christ as the Christ.

Muhammad was a false prophet. This is why Jesus did not speak of him except to lump him in with all the other false prophets (Joseph Smith, the guy that founded the JW’s, etc.) and warn us against following them.

according to the quran. yes the quran must be right because we are all muslims here. oh wait, we are not muslims. the quran is nothing (and i am not going to water that statment down, i mean what i said and given the opportunity you would say the exact same thing about the Bible). your so called prophet never met Jesus never met the apostles and never met the first or second generation of Christians after the apostles, so i am fairly certain that muhammad had about as much interaction with Jesus (and by extension God because Jesus is God) as your average guy who decides to start a pillaging guild that turns into a religion

dont like my answer, you should have expected some answers to be like that. that is the way i feel, if it offends you oh well my opinion on the matter will not change. i believe islam to be an evil religion founded by a pilliager turned religious prophet, and yes i do believe that satan had his hand in the pot too. thats the basis for my attitude toward islam dont like it sorry we dont see eye to eye

Help me understand your ecumenical spirit here; It is ok for you to get an overview teaching of Islam at a local Mosque. Tell me? do the Muslims share your own ecumenical awareness by allowing its Muslims members to enter a Catholic or non Catholic church? Are Muslims allowed to attend a Catholic catechism class to learn about Christianity?

I really would like to know if Islam allows its Muslim members to have an open mind like yours without compromising their beliefs and learn about Catholicism from the Catholic church herself and are free to be taught our New Covenant faith in Jesus Christ through the New Testament in their own Islamic countries or in the freeworld societies?

If Muslims are allowed this ecumencial spirit and freedom to learn about other faiths from Christians themselves and not a Muslim interpretation of christianity, I would really like to know where this place is?

Peace be with you

I know of one such place… it is called the Catholic Answers Forums.
