About protestants at RC communion

Slightly OT but I am curious - when a person with a small child goes up to receive, do they give a blessing to the child under normal circumstances? That’s the usual practice in the Anglican Church, but not having even taken communion in a Catholic Church I never noticed.

In the Anlcian church, does everyone get to take part in communion? Or are you like the catholics, and expect people to go through a course first? Like RCIA?

And Christian baptised with the trinitarian formula may recieve. You aresupposed to meet the conditions set out in the invitation to confession:

Ye that do truly and earnestly repent you of your sins, and are in love and charity with your neighbours, and intend to lead the new life, following the commandments of God and walking henceforth in His holy ways; draw near with faith, and take this holy Sacrament to your comfort, and make your humble confession to Almighty God, meekly kneeling upon your knees.*

If you can’t do that, you aren’t supposed to take communion.

To actually become a member of the Anglican Church and be confirmed, a course is required, or some kind of teaching.

How so? In my experience most people do not want to become a member of an organization without knowing a bit about it’s beliefs. We Anglicans could be secret baby eaters, it would be better to realize that from the beginning.

… my methodist church is a cult of heretics, but hey, you don’t need to know that! Just join us in communion anyway
