I don’t quite get it all, but I figure, if governments handed out their own money, the governments of these days might try harder to get rid of “useless eaters” as a drain on the economy, whereas private banks may not care. They could orchestrate a war, maybe, but they wouldn’t be preying on their own people–at least not as much as other people. If governments have difficulty paying debts, they may do it anyway, but a government could always just borrow as they feel it’s always a good idea; whereas a government could run low on resources and feel drastic measures are in order unless drilling on your property is possible for those who feel ok with it.
Could someone explain to me where that’s wrong? I’d like to get this. Is it like GK Chesterton’s distributism?
I still don’t get social credits. In a just society, that may work out alright, but more than bankers seem to be keeping the poor down and it’s not just the big elephant, but also the big donkey–the left of each are just as capable of fascism as the right.
