I woke up in sleep paralysis once. I knew what it was and just went back to sleep.

The dreaming system is awesome, because it is not something we need per se for life (as some never remember dreaming); it’s a nice extra God put into our heads so we recharge our mind and don’t have to look at the darkness while sleeping.
While not wanting per se to go all Freudian, mebbe there should be more study of dreaming from the Christian perspective!
