I’ve had many people (believers and non-believers) ask me about dinosaurs too. Why would God have created dinosaurs but not allowed them to continue to exist? Didn’t God know how to make dinosaurs and man coexist?
For starters, dinosaurs and man can’t exist together because of the nature of the dinosaurs as we speculate about them. If they were as savage as we assume, mankind would have a difficult time maintaining society and it’s physical survival.
I look at it this way however. Just as we know God has a design and a purpose for everything, we can be certain His purpose for dinosaurs was not in vain.
So I look at fossil fuels. We absolutely have needed these components found in the earth from past creatures and plant life. They have been stored up in the layers of the earth and they are at our disposal to (hopefully) be properly used to maintain our earthly needs.
Who knew that molds could lead to medical cures? God certainly did. Who knew that leeches can be used to stimulate blood flow in a human limb that has been reattached? God did again.
Who knew that by poking around in the earth, being curious about our existence, mankind would uncover past earthly life that can be used to help sustain our societies today? God did.
I believe that dinosaurs not only shed light on our physical world, but they lead us as God always intends, to our spiritual side just as easily. Because of God’s ability to have this all mapped out for us already. Not only did He design our Salvation plan through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; He also designed our survival plan to physically endure on this same planet. I believe it was God’s design all along to have the dinosaurs provide for our fascination about their existence; but to also contribute to our daily lives in another form. Just as God intended all along.
