The holy Spirit guides me every day. You wouldn’t likely find it exceptional.
The Lord has things he needs me to do…in my parish work. I do them.
There are no bells and whistles, no lightning bolts. Just service in the vineyard of the Lord.

I didn’t read the post as calling the Holy Spirit ‘it’ but the experience it…which is acceptable. Semantics and grammar were/are fine as well as respectful.
The Holy Spirit guides me daily too and I also don’t think the action would be found exceptional, mostly it is a gentle pull, occasionally it’s all-consuming.
