Hello,

I am about to submit my application and I get more nervous than ever before. Doubts, discouragements, and worry about going back to school seem to occupy my mind.

I am thankful for your advices and prayers.

Holding you in my prayers.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

there’s an old chinese saying that the journey of a 1000 miles starts with one step. Put one foot in front of the other and take one step at a time. Although St Thomas Aquinas is the patron saint of students, I always asked St. Anthony of Padua for help witting papers and taking tests because he was a student. Ask God for guidance and don’t fear school was actually fun once I got into it and i miss it now.

Man, I know how you feel! I submitted my application for formal discernment last month. I had no problems giving it to the postman, but afterward, I felt like I had handed over a piece of my heart in that envelope. It’s normal to feel this way. It just means that you are being honest and you are embarking on an unknown path. I’ll be praying for you! 🙂

Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement.

I am going to have a visit to the seminary with my Vocation Director on the same day that I submit my application. 🙂

God bless.

I read somewhere that when you actually try to take a step in the right direction is scares Satin into action. Don’t let his attempts to stop you shake your spirit. God has put a desire into your heart and He will lead you to green pastures and quiet waters. When you are worried just pull out Psalm 23.

God’s got your back!
