The scriptures also say "Call no man “Father,” and yet it is a primary title we give to our priests.

To be a little more accurate in our Bible readings, the women in the congregation that 1 Timothy is addressed to were to remain silent–it is not a universal law for all women in all churches at all times.

Oh, and btw, the Novus Ordo “Communion” is not valid either, so in reality they are just passing out cookies. Unfortunately, a good number of people think these cookies are the Body of Christ, so the principle remains. Women should not hand out communion. They should know their limits.

Reading the New Testament scriptures like every statement is a binding commandment is a Protestant idea, often associated with fundamentalism, and ultimately based in a sola scriptura mindset.
