It is not difficult to show how this ideology of sexuality has very weak foundations and how unstable it is. On the one hand, the gay activists - starting from their prophetess Judith Butler, stress that sexuality is fluid. That is only allowed in one direction, from ‘straight’ to ‘gay’. But when they actually encounter the move from ‘gay’ to ‘straight’ they all go beserk. I have always thought that those who identify with an alternative sexuality are extremely insecure about it and that by shouting hide the lack of any solid foundation for their theories.

Agreed on your points. My thing is I take issue with lgbt because I think it would save ESP young people a lot of grief of trying to fit perfectly into one label. Being bisexual is fine, although even among lgbt people they usually are marginalized. The issue comes with defining oneself as a “–sexual” anything. It’s dehumanizing. I am a soul, not a sexusl orientation or identity.
ESP?

I’ve seen charges that some bisexuals are attempting to appropriate the suffering of LG people, I’ve also seen them criticized for being only half way out of the closet so they can partially maintain straight privilege, but most LG people don’t marginalize them at all.

Gay, lesbian, bisexual, homosexual aren’t supposed to be defining one’s entire identity, merely a part of it; when I say “I’m biracial” it doesn’t mean that I define myself in relation to my race, but that it describes part of me. I have certainly seen people define themselves by their sexual orientation just as I have seen people define themselves by their race, but it isn’t the majority, I doubt it is even a large minority.

I’ve never actually heard any LGBT activists stress that sexuality is fluid, nor have I ever heard them mention Judith Butler. Sexual identity in women is rather fluid, as well as who heterosexual women are willing to have sex with, but that doesn’t say anything about how fluid sexuality is in men as men are more visual and women are more psychological.

Exactly, there is an agenda to encourage people to live the gay lifestyle and to demonize people who live in marriage man & woman open to life.

Either insecure or maybe choose to “own” the label before someone else can label them, to feel in control.

I meant to write especially not esp.

I realize the ideal behind the labels and I am not impractical; as you can see I used the labels a lot myself. It’s just that the reality ends up being that people are forced into sexual identity stereotypes and roles, as their identity. They are “a lesbian” or “a homosexual” instead of a man or woman, wife, husband, father etc. I find it dehumanizing.

I have experienced that many people regardless of their lifestyle refuse to believe that someone is truly bisexual. Just my experience.

I just made a post on death/satan and Gods mystery being finished Rev:10:7, and amazingly the same now exposed mystery have proved our Lord Jesus Christ conclusively, when saying the unclean principalities of the air cause all sin/unnatural acts of mankind, and that includes homosexuality, and drunkenness and drug use! I am now pasting the comment made below for sites of evidence of said/same… Respect to all born of Adam/God Deuteronomy 32:8… It has begun… The many attacks of satan/death have been found, many known for centuries, yet the Lord’s mystery is now finished by His word creation called science, exposing through the keys/code Rev:1:17-18 that the verse in this end times for many, beginning times for even more Matthew 25:34 and 5:5 has opened up the scrolls/hidden spiritual Kingdom of God, and at the same time exposing the secret attacks by death/satan to and through God’s word creation called Science! Too view such findings go to the site at adamandevewordresearch.blogspot.com/ and adamandeveseedgatheringministry.com/prophecy_and_the_signs and on that page are the prewritten sounding signs of this day Rev:10:7, signs such as the DC/Virginia Beach Virginia quakes, and the Japan quakes and small tidal wave Alaska, and the Oklahoma quakes, as many more events that are now and have taken place and are soon to take place such as more Virginia quakes, and three meteors to Sudan Africa! All for evidence of God’s Righteous servant finding His keys laying at mankinds feet! Also go to the about us page on the main site, for images of the unclean spirits our Lord foretold us we would find in this day! And view adamandeveinaction.blogspot.com/ for amazing videos of our Lord in Action… It has Begun …👍

I note again the title of the article–”Against Heterosexuality.” The author traces the concept of heterosexuality as a norm back to the mid-19th century, at which point the concept of homosexuality as a matter of personal identity came into use as well.

He notes that before this, the understanding of sex and of sexual sin, was related to the idea of human nature and the natural end of sex (the teleology of sex) as tending toward procreation and family formation.

Sexual actions which went against that natural end were seen as wrong—fornication, masturbation, extramarital sex, etc., while sexual activity that tended toward procreation and family formation was seen as good. It’s a very long standing standard which is in accord with human nature.

But it was too religiously rooted for the post- ‘enlightenment’ era. So instead of classifying actions, the new idea was to classify people. In this regard, “heterosexuality” became the new norm, and other attractions the deviant. This was thought to perhaps preserve the old moral standards without the religion, but it didn’t work.

If heterosexuality was the norm, then heterosexuals got a pass just by being straight. Fornication, adultery, masturbation, were no longer seen as sinful because, they were, after all, actions done by straight people. Homosexual persons, on the other hand, could do nothing right, because their very “orientation,” excluded it, being deviant.

The whole concept of “orientation” makes young people stress out about their “sexuality.” Rather than considering the morality of particular actions, they worry about their sexual identity-- “who they are.” Who they are, of course, is human beings, with tendencies toward good and evil, which must be either encouraged or resisted.

It seems the concept of “orientation” is now being discarded by those who previously might have pushed the idea. Secularists want to get rid of it because if there is no orientation, then anything is acceptable. There need be no standard.

Christians ought to want to get rid of it because it doesn’t accord with human nature.
Thanks for summarizing the article as I tried to read through it but got lost. I guess I am too tired or impatient to read it but it is not written user friendly. I dislike articles like that.

They aren’t forced into stereotypes and roles; some gays are effeminate, some are butch, most are well within the range of “normal” for guys. A few are promiscuous, the vast majority aren’t more promiscuous than other males.

Amongst young people (Millennials) it isn’t really an issue.

This is found among the more academic crowd. It is a pretty accepted ‘truth’ in that environment. Butler basically built all her theorising on Foucault. She is a lesbian, so no surprises there.

Why should what ivory tower intellectuals think be generalized? The general LGBT community doesn’t seem to believe in sexual fluidity much at all.

? What isn’t an issue? Im a Millenial, are you? I’m confused. Also the butch effeminate thing is my entire point. There are a few labels like that for lgbt people. But you never hear about only two or three mannerisms or roles that heterosexual people take on. I am now just sharing my observations and I think a lot of people when they make being gay their identity also may adopt a gay role amd mannerism which they did not have before, and I don’t really think that is fair since each individual is a unique person.

Its sad, that societies have not learned from the past symptoms of the infection which causes unnatural acts such as drunkenness and drug use, and homosexuality, science has now proved and researched the unclean spirits/bacteria our Lord foretold to us that cause sin! The gut bacteria make neurotransmitters that literally bring the word and emotion to somes minds saying play with your own bottom and your brothers! Go to the website at adamandevewordresearch.blogspot.com/ and to the site at adamandeveinaction.blogspot.com/ wherein are undeniable proof that Gods scientific Mystery has been finished Rev:10:7… also for more images and word on the found cause of homosexuality, go to the page at adamandeveseedgatheringministry.com/about_us … Respect to all born of Adam/God Deuteronomy 32:8:thumbsup:

They aren’t labels just for LGBT people, they get applied to heterosexuals too.

The adopting mannerisms and such is on its way out, however the media still loves its stereotypes
