Absolution before confession is over?

During my last confession I had several things I wanted to say, and the priest had stopped me every few words to give advice or ask clarifying questions and then he began absolving me before I was able to confess everything I had wanted to.

A different time in a conversation with a priest he said that all sins even the ones you don’t say are forgiven in that absolution, but I just feel weird bc I didn’t want to interrupt him and be like, “hey I have more sins here”. I don’t know if that counts as a valid confession.

Anyone that could help shed some light is much appreciated.
 
Additional info: this was right before the 5:30 mass and I have a feeling that he had checked the time after the person ahead of my left the confessional and was trying to move quickly bc he was running out of time if he wanted to be right on time starting Mass.
 
Unless you are confessing only venial sins, for the sacrament to be valid on your end, you have to have contrition, to confess all the unconfessed mortal sins you accuse yourself of in kind and number, and to do satisfaction, or be prepared to do satisfaction after you leave the confessional. For it to be valid on the priest’s end, he has to have at least the intention to do as the church does when he gives you absolution, and he has to actually give you the absolution.

If all you’re confessing are venial sins, then he can give you absolution at any time and the confession will still be valid. Not so with mortal sins. That’s why you should always tell the priest up front how many mortal sins you accuse yourself of, before you start listing them all.

The Council of Trent’s Session XIV goes into all this in great detail.

Without getting into what sins you committed, you might want to schedule some time with the priest outside the confessional if this is a more than single instance. If it was just a single time (you indicated he was in a hurry because of Mass time) then it simply was a matter of the rush of time.

I say this, having had an experience multiple times at a certain parish; every time I got caught behind a certain family I was in for confessions of school children that ran 5 minutes or more for each.

I am of the school of "spit and git: meaning I give enough information to put the sin in minimal context. If the priest needs more context, I will provide it but in almost all occasions, a minimal outline suffices. I don’t need a minute and a half to set a scenario, and neither do most of the priests I confess to.

An example of a matter which I do not have problems: Assume I heard a bit of “spicy news” about a common friend; and I repeated it unnecessarily to 3 others. “I heard “X” about a friend of mine and told three other mutual friends”. that takes what - 5 to 7 seconds to say?
