Gorgias,

We have strayed from the o.p, for which I apologise to other posters.
You and I must just agree to disagree on this issue.
Nothing will ever convince me that it is right to subject an already traumatised rape victim to continue with a viciously enforced pregnancy, which can only compound the brutal attack she has already sustained.
Maybe this will get through to you: Where do you think the life of a baby comes from? From God. Therefore, a woman who becomes pregnant, even from something as horrid as a rape, has been blessed with a child by God. If He didn’t want her to have a child, then she wouldn’t have one. Thus, to destroy that life that God has given you is an utmost evil.

Woman should see the life that comes from the rape as a blessing that comes out of something bad. Maybe then they would stop making excuses. Life is not something that human beings have a right to mess around with. It’sno different than murder, euthanasia, suicide, or any other form of killing.

May God bless you and lead you to the Truth. 🙂

You are a man, as are so many posters in this thread!
It is men who brutally rape women and young girls.
Men never have to go through unwanted pregnancies or labour or birth.
Nothing good can ever come from rape. The best we can do is to support rape victims after their ordeal and help them to gradually start living again, once their physical wounds have healed and the nightmares, panic attacks and usually long term mental/emotional damage has eased.
To find that she has been impregnated through a vicious rape must be terrifying and there is no way she should have to go through with that pregnancy. Please at least talk to some women who have suffered in this way before you speak of “making excuses” etc.

Yep, that’s true. Clearly, we’ll never know the terror that a woman experiences when a man rapes her. Yet, what are you implying? That we’re incapable of understanding the truth of the value of human life?
Nothing good can ever come from rape.
It’s truly sad to read this. You say you’ve spoken to many women who have had abortions; have you ever spoken to a woman who’s been raped and chosen to keep her baby? And, if so, then you’ve heard her say that it victimized her further?
