At my most recent confession, my Pastor told me that that I was focused on my sins. That I need to realize the “Joy of the Lord”. After he forgave my sin, I did feel that; that I haven’t felt in a long time. I wonder, can the confessor place in you or pray that you feel that joy? At many confessions, I just don’t 😦 They say that is our strength.

I’ve learned never to underestimate the effect of a holy priest acting in persona Christi.😉
 
My last confession was like that…hadn’t been in decades, the load lifted off me was almost physical!
