If I am Catholic and if I purposely eat meat on Friday throughout the season of Lent, is that a venial, grave, or mortal sin upon my soul?

Well, it sounds like the premeditation is there, but I’m not sure how grave a matter it is. Sorry that I can’t be of any more help.

I will pray for you.

My question would be: If you know that this is the unitive directive of the Catholic Church why would you purposely eat meat on Fridays? If you cannot follow such an easy command how well would you fair with other commands and precepts of the Church?

Is it a mortal sin? Probably not. Is it a rebellion of sorts? You tell me…teachccd

Grave and mortal are the same thing.

Mortal sin requires three things:

(1) Grave matter
(2) Full knowledge
(3) Free will

Purposely trangressing the law of the Church is grave matter, and if done with full knowledge and free will it is a mortal sin.
