With out a doubt Abu Omar al-Kurdi has information that could save hundreds of lives maybe thousands of lives and we have recently captured him. This is not hypothetical, what are the limits of what we can do to this single guy to get the information to save all those lives? If you were President of the United States what would you do to save all of those lives both American and Iraq lives?

We can not do evil for a good outcome.

Now shooting down a hijacked plane is good as the intented goal is to stop the plane from being used to kill innocent people. The death of the innocent people on the plane is an unintended secondary effect.

Now with this individual, no lives are in danger right now. Torture for information is immoral. As there are other ways to gain information. Now if he had a bomb on him, killing him to stop him from exploding the bomb would be moral.

I am not supporting one way or another but I would tell you that lives are in danger by him. This guy is the guy who built most of the bombs that have killed Americans and Iraqi’s since combat. He is basicly the second in command, he will know where and when the bombs are scheduled to attack.
