Abusing Baptism

The nuns in Mother Teresa’s hospitals supposedly asked dying patients if they wanted a “ticket to heaven”. They would then baptize the patient, despite their religious affiliation. If a Moslem or Hindu in the hospital was baptized right before they died, would they have gone to heaven, assuming they didn’t know what was happening to them?
 
What makes you think they didn’t know what was happening to them? The Hindus and Moslems I’ve known are smart.
 
To be fair, the argument isn’t that their religious beliefs made the unaware, but perhaps their physical state. Were these dying people completely lucid when they accepted Baptism?

Making it sound like trickery from Mean Nuns.
 
The claim is form Susan Shields. She spent nine and a half years as a sister for the Missionaries of Charity. Here’s one article from National Geographic that cites that claim. Here’s a blog entry where Ms. Shields goes into detail on some of the practices during the time she served the MoC.

If another faith had used this vague language to try and get a dying person to subscribe verbally to their faith, in my opinion I would think most Christians would consider that trickery.

It would be unwise to just accept any and all claims from one who differs from your position, but at the same time it would be unwise to dismiss out of hand any claims simply because they differ from your opinion. Disconfirming evidence should be addressed, especially if it comes from someone very familiar with the situation. If it turns out not to be true, then your position is stronger for withstanding scrutiny. If it turns out to be true, then your position may have to adjust based on increased information.
