Most abortion-minded women would not believe such a sign. If we can get them to go into a crisis pregnancy center or a mobile ultrasound bus, THEN we can show them that there are many resources to help them carry their baby to term and either keep it or give it up for adoption. The mindset of an abortion-minded woman is that no one is truly helping her except the abortion provider. It is what she is being told from all quarters. It is perhaps what she WANTS to believe.
I agree that a person can not save every instance of abortion…not all problems are the same…some are not even driven my money problems.
-I think you really nailed the situation that an abortion-minded woman thinks the abortion provider is the only one truly trying to help her…this is what we must change in order to counter the abortion provider.
-When there is a real alternative for a person to realistically abandon the idea of having an abortion…then change will happen. I have seen it with my own eyes…one person was going to have an abortion, and another person offered to help with looking after the baby so she could finish school…this was the deal breaker… The trust has to be there in order for it to be an option…this would take time and word of mouth.
-I had a friend who phoned a pregnancy crisis center…not much in realistic help was offered.
-Some would not want any help no matter how helpful, but even if we helped 10 percent of mothers, 10 percent of 57 million is quite a victory. Who knows, without people like you doing what you do maybe the number would be 70 million…

I don’t believe the church is neglecting its historical role in helping the needy. I see so many programs for not only pregnant women, but for clothing, shelter, food, etc. Is it enough? No probably not. Can we do more? Of course we could. There are so, so many people out there working so, so hard to help others. I see this as a slap in the face to them.
-Sorry if you feel that I slapped someone in the face, this was never my intention.

Agreed woman should pray about this too. However, it is hypocritical of men to allow the degradation of women and then say abortion is wrong
-I am sorry if this is offensive, but you are being hypocritical in this instance, saying men are ALLOWING the degradation of women in a strip bar…what about the main performer on stage exploiting her sexual wares to fleece money from the men…who is exploiting who?
-This stance does not meet reality…the majority of men in a strip bar would not care about the degradation of women and even less about abortion.
Well… your girlfriends should be told their talk is innappropriate. Nonetheless, these women could never get a man pregnant so it is not exactly the same
-A woman seeking to fulfill her sexual prowess with a certain man is still responsible for her own body and actions…it is exactly the same
I am not sure what you are getting at here. But I do agree children should not be aborted

Why is it when a woman has an abortion they don’t find out who the father is and put him in jail for awhile? That would make men think twice before having sex.

-If we are to put a man in jail because the woman had an abortion, then there would be even more jail time required for the woman who made the abortion happen. It is her body and freewill to both have sex and to get an abortion.
-The man has no say in the matter at all…he has no power to even stop the procedure…this even goes for a husband
If the pregnant woman goes out and steers her car into oncoming traffic instead of having the baby…should the man also go to jail for this?
I agree it takes two people. That is why if we concentrated on bringing chasity back into society, the whole abortion problem would go away on its own.
-I totally agree
When did I ever say women were mentality inferior? A fact is a fact, God created the process of having children in such a way it takes a man and a woman because it also takes a man and a woman to bring a child up. There are a lot of excellent single parents out there, but it is still a very hard thing to do.
-I used the word inferior not in reference single mother families, but in light that you seem to perceive men are more responsible over our bodies and lives than we ourselves are…We are in complete control with what happens to our bodies…this includes when and who we are intimate with…we actually have the prowess in this situation.
For example
-Me and my FH promised to remain chaste to each other until we are married…if I wanted to break that promise I would have an easy time in making this reality…probably by the time a person could read this whole thread. If he wanted to do the same he would have to work a lot harder.
-In the same light if a woman and a guy walked into a bar together each looking to hook up with someone else…I would bet big money the woman goes home with another man before the guy she walked in with finishes a plate of nachos!
-So we can’t blame men for our problems as we are responsible for ourselves
I think abortion is wrong. I am just saying I think the way to go about stopping it is to get rid of the message premarital sex is OK. And also, to start making men take responsibility
-totally agree

Yes you are right. The stripper is not being charitable to men

Sadly, I have met men who march against abortion and attend strip bars. Perhaps my personal bias of my experience was coming out here and you had no way of knowint that so I should have been more clear
-A woman seeking to fulfill her sexual prowess with a certain man is still responsible for her own body and actions…it is exactly the same
It is the same in the sense they are both committing the sin of adultery. However, (and I am not sure if I am expressing this correctly) if a woman chooses to have sex, she knows she will get pregnant and in a way is more consious of the fact she will get pregnant. It is hard to explain but IMO if you are doing something to someone else you need to thing of the consequences they will face. I know this did not come out the right way

Agreed the woman should have jail time and the person who performed the abortion should have jail time. However, IMO an unwanted pregnacy puts a woman in a situation where she is not likely to be dealing in a calm retional manner. However, the person who performs the abortion and the man are not under the same stress and therefor should be held to a higher standard.

Women SHOULD have complete control over their bodies. Unfortunately, I don’t think society makes it that easy for women. Teaching them from an early age that the way to a man’s heart is through skimpy clothing. I think it is a society problem that more women do not believe in their right to respect
For example

Well… one could argue that is unfair to men saying they can’t control themselves.
-In the same light if a woman and a guy walked into a bar together each looking to hook up with someone else…I would bet big money the woman goes home with another man before the guy she walked in with finishes a plate of nachos!
Statitically this is probably true. But it is still not fair to the men that do control themselves
-So we can’t blame men for our problems as we are responsible for ourselves
Yes we are responsible for ourselves. However, I think that one of the biggest obstacles to ending abortion is all the feminists screaming equal rights and men secretly thinking ‘Cool, let’s go along with what these women are saying so we can get as much sex as we want’

If we shift the focus of abortion off or women and onto society, IMO there would be more success in ending it

-Feminism is not about giving the milk away for free and then being a victim or victimizing others when the man does not want to buy the cow. That is not looking out for our best interests and leaves us vulnerable.
-When a man stands before God and family and commits to us, only after that we are sexually compatable, and on a level playing field.
-I guess contraceptives give the illusion that we are on a level playing field, but when they fail then the truth comes out very clearly…We were never on the same level to begin with.
-Some couples do have pre-marital sex and do quite fine…even when they become pregnant…do you want to roll the dice? Laws are passed not due to the success rate, but for the victims of the failure rate…drinking and driving would be a good example, some people do quite fine drinking and driving and not everyone kills or hurts people when they drive drunk…a law is passed because of the victims it causes
Just google “aborted babies” and then hit images…victims create more victims…sexual irresponsibility is more dangerous than drinking and driving
