If my parents ask me to turn the channel to a comedy program which at times can feature inappropriate things at which they laugh have I been an accessory to their sin?

Thanks

They sinned ?

If it is a program that mocks Christian values and applauds sin, perhaps you need to make yourself absent near the beginning of such a program if it troubles you. Presumably there is a remote for the television that you can leave to your parents’ control, so that they can change the channels themselves?
Perhaps you just need a little forethought to absent yourself at a time when your parents are likely to switch to the program? They are making a choice. You are making a different choice.
Sin depends upon choice and consent.

In such a scenario your parents would NOT have sinned and you would NOT have sinned.

I didn’t word it very well so here goes.
There is a tv program that not all the time, but sometimes features some lewd jokes. If my Mother for example asks me to put that show on for her and she finds some amusement in the lewd comments am I in any contributing to that amusement and therefore sinning?

I repeat neither your parents nor you are sinning!
