No, I learned all that when my diocese was one of those that returned the sacraments to their original order. For 9 years we had kids prepare for and receive both Confirmation & First Communion. Then our diocese was suppressed and we merged with another diocese to form a third diocese.Wow, thank you, Phemie! How do you know all this stuff? I’m beginning to suspect you’re an undercover religious ed teacher![]()
The diocese we merged with was confirming in grade 10, we were in grade 2 and up, so in this new diocese the bishop decided that it would be grade 6 & up. We weren’t happy, but it means that there will be no confirmation for a few years in our parish since most of the kids are already confirmed.
