According to Catholic belief is Lord Jesus Christ “God” or the “Son of God”? I’m a bit confused, please help. Thank you.
There is one God in three divine persons, God the Father, God the Son and God The Holy Spirit! Jesus is God, He is God the Son!According to Catholic belief is Lord Jesus Christ “God” or the “Son of God”? I’m a bit confused, please help. Thank you.
No. Jesus is praying to God the Father. Both Father and Son are God, but the Father is not the Son and God the Son is not the Father.I don’t understand. I don’t want to start an argument, I’m just trying to process this information. So please be patient…
In the scriptures, when Lord Jesus is praying to God is he actually praying to Himself? On the cross He asks forgiveness for sins of humans and cries out why has God forsaken Him. Is He at two places at once?
Not in a human form - He became truly Man. Thus becoming the only being in existence capable of bridging the vast gulf that man’s sin has placed between him and God, and briding it to such an extent that ALL humankind can be reconciled and cross into God’s presence, if they but choose to.I mean why did God come to Earth in a human form to be tortured and murdered for our sins?
No, He’s not praying to Himself. There is one God, but three divine persons. God the Father, God the Son and God The Holy Spirit! God the Son is not God the Father. God is infinite and is indeed everywhere at once. God is not a creature and is not bound by Earthly constraints. In the scriptures, when Lord Jesus is praying to God is he actually praying to Himself?
