98% of Catholic women use birth control. Taken from his site:

“Most women—including 98 percent of Catholic women—who have had sex have used birth control, according to a study by the Guttmacher Institute.”

If this is true, then I wonder what the priests of their churches are teaching? 🤷

There may not be much teaching going on any more, now that we have the 11th Commandment:

“Thou shalt not offend anybody, for feelings are sacrosanct, even though life itself is not.”🤷

If only the real Commandments were so assiduously kept!

The liar in the White House is NOT to be trusted! He believes his own lies and is a discredit not only to America but the world. VOTE HIM OUT!

Here’s another question regarding the survey. Does it include NFP as a form of birth controll. Because that particular method is aproved of by the Catholic Church and is (hopefully) what these women meant.

Plus, it must be noted that anyone can claim to be Catholic on those dopey polls, whether they practice their faith or not.

True, I just found the 98% alarming.

I mean really, whats the point of being a Christian if you don’t know how to live like one?

The number wouldn’t surprise me. President Obama’s Protestant mindset on the issue shouldn’t surprise one single faithful-to-the-magisterium Catholic.

A vast majority of statistics are flawed and inaccurately portray reality.
This probably, no, definitely applies here. Not to say all statistics are wrong, but to say a majority of the time statistics are inaccurate, especially in situations like this where the people putting it together are probably biased.

A statistic like this can be created, like any statistic. Who are these catholic women? Are they catholic Obama supports? What is there church attendance? Would they call themselves good catholics? These catholics could have been chosen by the pollers. Even if this is a fair poll what does it prove? No one ever said catholics cant be sinners too.

I like to think that to be a good Christian you have to admit that you’re a terrible Christian. A perfect Christian would be a caricature and come off a bit scary (think Ned Flanders). That said, the poll proves nothing. I do plenty of things that go against Church teaching and it’s nobody’s business but my own and God’s. I don’t want my sins turned into political fodder.

This particular statistic annoys me because, even though it may be true (I don’t know nor do I care), on one side you have the atheists saying that these Catholic women aren’t really Catholic because they use birth control and then you have conservative Catholics saying they are not real Catholics for the same reason.
