I am really trying not to judge but once you see the baby on the screen I don’t know how you can go thru with it. I honestly do think that the evil one is roaming the world in terms of the abortion lobby - it is too easily seen as a ‘procedure ‘ and someone’s ‘right’. I really would love to see more support for pregnant women who feel like they can’t go on
If abortion were made illegal remember people would have to think twice about fornication and who they in general have sex with. Abortion = No more responsibilities.

I knew that. I admire Loretta Young deeply and would hold her up as a role model to any daughter of mine, if I had one.

As for her sins of sex outside of marriage (assuming it was voluntary, the stories vary) and lies to protect her reputation, cast the first stone…

I admire very much the old-time actors and actresses — they lived in a time when concepts of style, propriety, clearly defined gender roles, and sharp dress and grooming were the order of the day. It is true that a lot of sordidness lay beneath the surface facade presented to the public, but at least the ideal was upheld. Catholic stars such as Bing Crosby, Loretta Young, and Danny Thomas were well-known to be faithful Catholics, and set a good example for the public. We do have some stars and public figures nowadays that uphold good morals and sound values — Mark Wahlberg (despite his past), Tim Tebow (not Catholic, but embodies solid Christian virtues that anyone can admire), and now, apparently, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. That’s good. We need more.

In response to the original article

Goodness gracious are we in the twilight zone

Recently, Joy Villa had give her public testimony of the adoption of her daughter and her pro life position.

That’s not surprising that many actress or actors had abortions or support this “choice”. It is hard to raise up to success with a family. No time, children and an established life can kill creation or the opportunity to raise until sucess vanished because you have to sacrifice time and money.

What we should support to her youngsters is that hollywood is often the bad exemple and we should not imitate them. We should offer others more virtuous people to dream to followed their path, such as saints or people with honorable life or public battles.

I was going to bring up pro abortion statements and actions by actresses and comedians and other celebrities over the past few years that are worse than what Williams said. However, after reading Halogirl’s inspiring posts I don’t want to bring up any more negativity and will pray The St. Michael Prayer instead.

I doubt very many young people were watching. Award show viewership has been declining for some time now.

Forgot him. My bad.

I wish I could number Mel Gibson among these, but ahem, there have been so many issues… I have to think that the evil one assaulted him full-court-press as a result of his producing The Passion of the Christ, knowing his weaknesses (alcoholism, anger, libido, an anti-Semitic streak — a toxic stew if ever there were such a thing).

Patricia Neal was an absolute class act, very disappointed to know about the abortion. John Wayne became a Catholic on his death bed — possible good influence of two Hispanic wives? And let’s not forget Bob Hope, converted a few years before he died, he and his wife built the Our Lady of Hope (sounds like a pun he couldn’t resist!) shrine at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in DC.

Apparently she didn’t get the memo from Ricky Gervais about using the awards show as a political platform!

Just out of curiosity, was this Reese Witherspoon? She fell pregnant and married Ryan Philippe
No, this woman was sent off to have an abortion by her mother, she was 17. She said it was a horrible experience and would not advice it. She said she later had complications getting pregnant or with pregnancies. There were a good number of testimonies from celebrities, all happy they could choose to abort.
