A hardened criminal needed an alibi after deciding to kill his wife. He decided to kill her after she came out of confession with Padre Pio. She was a follower of Padre Pio. He would drink with others in a pub and go out and kill her between drinks.
Then when he approached the confessional, a cry came from Padre Pio: “Go away, go away! Go Away! Don’t you know it is forbidden to kill somebody?” Then…
Padre Pio, now canonized as a saint in the Catholic Church, could see right into the souls of people. He spent most of his time in the confessional, and sometimes told people there the sins they didn’t say or had forgotten.
 
I have a love-hate relationship w/ Padre Pio.
He is most interesting saint.
I would fear him though.
 
I think people fear St. Padre Pio because he will truly try to change your life. If you have no real firm purpose of amendment, I’d suppose most people would be scared of him. If you truly are trying to make amendments, there is no real way that anyone would be scared.
