In the 1930s God revealed his divine mercy especially to an unpretentious nun in Poland. Devotion to the Divine Mercy after this has been like a spiritual tidal wave spreading to Catholics in every nation. She has since been canonized and what God told her led to a universal feast in the Catholic Church, appropriately, on the Sunday after Easter Sunday. This explanation linked below is on this feast and the divine mercy of God which it serves. This feast calls for confession, which however doesn’t have to be made right on this Sunday.
