Some faults are less glamorous than others. It is difficult to admit sometimes you can be a hypocrite, overly critical/harsh, close-minded. Some people have minor faults can be a little controlling. Some people maybe have a difficult time taking things seriously. It is embarrassing to realize maybe you are little prejudice. You can not admit it openly, people will hate you. Even admitting it God, feels a little hurtful too. How do you learn to admit your ugly faults without altogether feeling like a terrible person>

I know that the Orthodox monks are constantly emphasizing extreme humility and acknowledging yourself as the biggest sinner, more than your brother or neighbor, as the fastest path to salvation. I always thought that was grounding advice rooted in wisdom.

WHY are you always so self critical in all your posts. God loves you, with an absolute unfailing love. You are unique and special to Him - His child.
Could you perhaps try thinking about the things you like about yourself ? Bet you are a great person underneath all this obsessive focus on sin. We’ve all got faults. All we can do is live our lives as best we can and trust in God’s abiding love. After all, we are a long time dead!
God bless you and grant you joy in your life. 🙂

Know that we are all miserable sinners and that everything good in us comes from God, not from ourselves. Be humble and know that without God’s grace we can do nothing. Give all credit to God for anything good you see in you. Thank God for his grace and know that you are but dust and to dust shall you return. God bless you.
