I noticed that the Forum rules included:
In the unlikely event that it is too difficult to observe these rules, we can always place a moratorium on all discussions about EF and OF, on the TC forum, until cooler heads prevail.
I think I might know what TC means (Traditional Catholicism?), but what do the other acronyms mean?

“EF” is “Extraordinary Form” and “OF” is “Ordinary Form.”

P.S. The original quotation is from “Discussing the EF and OF.” A convenient source for more information on the Extraordinary Form is an explanatory article on this site: “Extraordinary Form 101.”

EF: Extraordinary Form, often somewhat inaccurately simplified to “Latin Mass” or “Traditional Latin Mass”
OF: Ordinary Form, the form of Mass celebrated in most parishes in union with Rome. Somewhat less inaccurately called the “new Mass”.
