I am trying to learn this prayer, but I have run across different versions and was wondering if there was a “right” one to recite. I realize that the bottom line is to be truly sorry for one’s sins, but is there a “version” that is recited more than the others? A silly question, perhaps, but as I go on with my unofficial home study before RCIA begins, I would appreciate your thoughts. Here are three versions I’ve found. And what is the difference between the Act of Perfect Contrition and the Act of Contrition?
