ACTUAL REAL ABORTED BABY CARRIED IN NATIONAL PRO-ABORTION PARADE

Did anyone listen to the third hour of the Drew Mariani Show on Relevant Radio on Monday, Sept 10th? Fr. Frank Pavone was filling in as the host and he had Jerry Horn on the show.
Jerry tells his story how he carried a real aborted baby in a pro-abortion parade and was arrested. Jerry got all the headlines in the national papers which stole the headlines from the actual Pro-Abort parade. Pro-Abort leaders like Eleanor Smeal and Patricia Ireland were livid!

I believe the story starts 14 minutes into the program if you want to fast forward to the 14 minute mark.

This story is unreal. I never heard anything like this before.

I double clicked on “streaming” and Windows Media Player started to run.

If that does not work then double click on “download”.
 
This sounds absolutely bizarre. Why would someone who is pro-abortion want people to know what an aborted baby looks like?

Okay, I just listened to part of it - so Jerry Horn is actually pro-life? But he was marching in a pro-abortion parade, carrying the bodies of some aborted babies? :confused:

I guess. I’m still disturbed by the whole thing. It seems rather ghoulish to parade dead bodies in the streets - I think they should have just given the poor kids a decent burial, and prayed for their souls.

i see both sides. on one hand, it makes the reality of abortion hit home. but on the other hand, it is a person who deserves the dignity of a burial. i think a photograph is a better alternative.

I think it better for him to take the bodies of children killed in abortion and bury them, rather than parade them around this way.

I don’t listen to the radio so I didn’t hear this program, but do think it is interesting that this person was be arrested. Do you know on what grounds? After all, if the aborted baby is not considered a human being that was murdered, what would be the problem. It would be no different than parading a chicken wing around.

If it is not a real “baby” (person) and is legally considered “tissue” or the “byproducts of conception” then it should be no more of a problem than carrying one’s removed wisdom teeth, or gall bladders stones, or a kidney. The fact that people are scandalized by it makes it obvious that everyone KNOWS it is a baby, and not any of those other things. It may be graphic, but it gets the point across.

It’s also (still!) a violation of the human dignity of that human child. The least of many indignities that the child has already suffered, to be sure, but I think as Catholics we need to remain conscious of the fact that these are, indeed, human children who are deserving of privacy and dignity, regardless of how they died.

Much better, I think, to raid the garbage cans of the abortuaries and hold proper funerals for these little ones, rather than parade them around. The point would be made even more effectively, I think, if this procedure were followed.

How does this post square with the ancient christian tradition of making relics of the bones and body parts of saints and martyrs?
 
I heard this on the way home from work. I had some errands to run and sat in the car because I didn’t want to miss a lick of his story. It was powerful. I may have missed the beginning because I don’t know when this march was. Any idea?

And for those who DIDN’T listen to the program but are judging his actions, maybe you should listen to HOW it happened first.

While he was being detained and questioned he made the same point and they ended up letting him go. They wanted to know where he got the baby from and he asked them if he told them, would they charge those people with the same crime they’re attempting to charge him? They backpedalled and started mumbling about it being a social justice issue and not wanting to get involved, etc.
 
I believe this March was back in 1985. For those of you saying the baby should have a proper burial – don’t assume the baby was never buried.

Jerry Horn mentioned other contacts in his story who I know would get the aborted babies from the dumpsters at the Abortuary’s, take pictures of the aborted babies and then store them in a shed and then have a huge burial for all the babies. This is what they did back in the 1980’s.

Many of the pictures you see on the Priests For Life website came from the back alley dumpsters of the Abortuary’s in Chicago and then the aborted babies were later buried. I know the people who grabbed them from the dumpsters and gaurantee they were all buried.

As far as marching in the parade with a real aborted baby – doesn’t this remind you of Emmett Till’s mother having an open caskit of Emmett Till’s mutilated body? Both stories seem similar to me…
