I was recently diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and I am seeing a therapist and a psychiatrist. My therapist had recommened that I also go for acupuncture treatment since she believed it could help reduce the effects of stress and alleviate anxiety. Does anyone know if acupuncture is accpetable to the Church? I know it involves the moving of “energy,” and I’m not sure if it is considered a good thing or a bad thing.
Also, I sometimes have minor back and foot pain, and I was thinking of buying a Shiatsu back massager and a Shiatsu foot massager. I read on this site that Shiatsu is clearly against Catholicism, but would using a Shiatsu massager also be against our religion? Thanks so much for your help.
