Adam and Eve in a world of so many races?

Look–I have no problem believing in alot of evolution but the Catholic Church DOES TEACH that we are all descended from one pair of parents–Adam and Eve.

Now I guess you could really stretch things a long way and say that Adam and Eve were spontaneous mutations from preexisting hominids and that God at some time in their growing up from babies to adulthood gave them souls and that all of us are descended from them—I guess you could believe that and still be Catholic and believe Catholic teaching that we’re all descended from one pair of parents–Adam and Eve.

Does that sound likely?

Look–I’m not dead set against evolution of hominids–but it seems to me that it is more likely that you could have evolution of hominids and animals and the big bang–the whole evolutionary show and that it would make more sense if Adam and Eve were MIRACULOUSLY created as the first MODERN humans.

I really do believe that Neanderthals and other hominids were SOULLESS.

I don’t think that God on some day in history gave every hominid on planet Earth a soul–that doesn’t make sense!–I believe that the offspring of Adam and Eve had souls–not other hominids.

Why would God create in an evolutionary way and then also create in a MIRACULOUS way?

Well you can read in the New Testament where a man was blind and Jesus spit on the earth and made clay and put it on the man’s eyes and he was cured of his blindness.

Jesus could have just said the word and the man would have been cured just like Jesus had done before in many other healings.

In other words Jesus cured both instantly miraculously and process miraculously.

Now if that’s the way that Christ healed don’t tell me that it is IMPOSSIBLE for Him to create in more than one manner!

My personal opinion is that Adam and Eve could have come along as late as the death of the last Neanderthal.

Course Adam and Eve could have exited when other hominids existed but IF they did then the other hominids had to be soulless for we are all descended from Adam and Eve according to Catholic teaching.

There is only ONE PAIR of original parents–not many pairs from hominids!

There was only ONE fall from grace and consequential original sin!

I don’t see how you can have that with a bunch of hominids walking around planet earth!

I don’t believe in a literal 6 days of 24 hours creation or that Adam and Eve lived about 4,000 BC–I can perhaps believe in the big Bang and evolution of animals–the existence of dinosaurs–

But I don’t believe that there is more than one set of parents–Adam and Eve truely ARE the parents of us all.

That’s why I DON’T believe that Adam and Eve EVOLVED from Hominids.

I think that God CAN create BOTH progressively and evolutionarily and also create MIRACULOUSLY!

I know one thing–Jesus rising from the dead was MIRACULOUS–not evolutionarily!

If that can happen like that don’t tell me that creation CAN’T happen like that!

Know it all scientists will tell you that there is NO way that Jesus could rise from the dead!

Since I don’t believe that should I believe that creation CAN’T happen ALSO MIRACULOUSLY?

I believe the flood COULD have been local–I wasn’t there–I believe that all the people in Jesus’ geniealogies were real historical actual people–I just believe that they weren’t the only ancestors of Jesus–just prominent ones–I believe that there were others so Adam and Eve–could be ACTUAL people and ACTUALLY parents of Jesus and of us all.

I believe Noah was an actual person. Lastly I believe about the time you get to Abraham that we can actually date the personages in the bible.

I believe that the timeline of Adam and Eve and the timeline of their ancestors up to Abraham could have been out of phase with our current chronological time–in other words–the time didn’t match up until Abraham.

Watch Star Trek–many mathematicians will tell you that other dimesions can exist which you can’t see and all congruent with our own dimension but time runs at different speed in those dimensions than our own dimension.

If the Body and Blood are beneath the appearances of bread and wine–then Eden could be beneath the appearances of present day Iraq!

For all you scientific worshipers out there just let you mind grasp other dimensions and other time phases.

Now I don’t know if that is true–all I’m saying is that a person will have the best chance of getting to heaven if he believes what he can that the bible says–believes what science seems to say when it seems to be true–and when he cannot reconcile them just say I don’t know but I do believe in God and He can choose to do anything He wants to do and I don’t have to understand HOW He does what He does.

Does that make sense? Are ALL TRUTHS obvious? I think not.

Doesn’t the bible say about God–“Who knows the ways of God–how mysterious are His ways.”

I don’t mind not being able to grasp all mysteries–I walk by faith and not by sight!

…yet the “scientific evidence” is, at best, speculative… take four blind men and an elephant… each one defines the encounter according to his mind’s eye… staunch evolutionists remove all posibilities of a Higher Being as the Creator who, if He did not Create man in the Biblical premise, set evolution into effect–they also take everything “evolution” for granted and dismiss anything that points to an Omnipotent Creator as “myth!”

…I’m still waiting for a retraction on anything that has been claimed as fact and later dismissed or recalculated as “experimental understanding” (ie: ancient universe folding upon itself and basically self-destructing as a new universe would emerge–pre-Huble; no lifeform so deep due to lack of light–till lifeforms discovered that exist in complete darkness and create their own light; no, no, *this *is the missing link… wait no, no, it’s this one!–and still they can’t explain the platypus!)

…interestingly enough I find that scifi, as well as sci, has its origins in Scriptures: angels, demons, warnings against divination and spiritism…

…the Bible states that light was created on day one (universe, angels, etc.) while the sun not till day 4 (no 24hrs 6-day period); the Bible also shows a chronological event: big bang; eco system; plants and animals; man)–conversely, sci states that: there was a big bang or something to that effect; super ooze: animal/plant; evolution x permutations x evolution; homo erectus…)–nope nothing new!

The only difference is Divine Creator vs. blind casualty x just so conditions (what I term the Goldilocks syndrome)… otherwise God vs. ordered chaos!
