If we are all decendants of Adam and Eve are we not all committing incest?

How can one explain the different racial groups?

Wasn’t humanity completely wiped out during the time when dinosaurs were completely wiped out?

And if God knows ‘everything from beginning to end’ why did he put Adam and Eve on earth KNOWING they would turn away from God and be banished from eternal life?

In a very, very broad sense, yes, though this stretches the definition so far as to be very unhelpful. The word “incest” ceases to truly apply after a certain amount of generational distance is reached between individuals.
How can one explain the different racial groups?
Time and distance.

Nope. As I recall, during the time of the dinosaurs, the ancestor of humanity (and all mammals) was a small, rat-like creature which managed to survive the meteor impact and aftermath.
And if God knows ‘everything from beginning to end’ why did he put Adam and Eve on earth KNOWING they would turn away from God and be banished from eternal life?
Because we wanted to respect Adam and Eve’s free will.

Therefore we evolved…

Hi. There are quite a few questions here and many are dealing with a time that is referred to as pre-history. I think this means that no one is obligated to accept Genesis as an historical account. I personally read the creation account with great awe at God’s wisdom. I believe it is filled with spiritual mystery. Overall it seems to me that Genesis and Revelation goes hand in hand. Both are part of each other. Man is made in God’s image. Then when man sins, it is written that they must not eat of the tree of life now they have become liken to God knowing both good and evil. This says to me that man was not at that time yet in the true likeness of God. The only true Adam is Jesus Christ, the second Adam. So hence Genesis is not complete. The completeness of Genesis comes when all that is written in the Book of Revelation comes to pass.

Some state that evolution is against creationism. I disagree, because the way it works is so amazingly clever that it seems designed. Many genetics fit with enviroment. I remember being taught something of this in school. Reasons for various colour skin having to do with climate and genes that enable a person to live in that enviroment. One thing for sure that science has stated is that studies on DNA show that all humans have the same beginning, stem from one woman. I have the news report on this on file.

Also bear in mind all of the things we do not have answers for. How two European men were found in Egypt dated 200,000 years old? How, no ships then, according to many scholars. Knowledge of the stars and even findings of modern things in rocks and fossiles very old. There is evidence in a number of areas of an early civilization that vanished. Much of this evidence has been linked to the last ice age. And that may be survivors left some memory of it.

There is so much I could write on this topic as it is one that I am reseaching a great deal.

The question about why God allowed things. Always for our own good. Please remember that God does not see death as we do, nor mortal life as we see it.

God Bless

In fact racial differences are a prooff of evolution.
A darker skin color protects humans from the UV radiation that is heavier on the tropics. A lighter skin color allows the sun to sintetize some vitamins on the liver.
Dark skinned people in nothern climates tend to develop vitamin deficiency sometimes.
Light skinned people in tropical climates have higer rates of skin cancer and sterility.
Over the generations the climate would favor the lighter skinned in cold cloudy climates and the dark skinned in sunnier hotter climates.
That explains the different colors of skin between humans.
And there is a thing called genetic drift.
Some mutations are neutral, they do not hurt or enable a individual hability to live, hence he passes them away. Creating different racial features.

In a very broad sense, yes. However, we have reached the point to where we have people who are so many generations apart that it is really no longer incest in the legal sense of the term. Also, it is not really helpful to claim that we are all committing incest because of the fact that so many people are generations apart.

Wasn’t humanity completely wiped out during the time when dinosaurs were completely wiped out?
The answer is quite simply no. If that were so, we wouldn’t be here… right? 😉
And if God knows ‘everything from beginning to end’ why did he put Adam and Eve on earth KNOWING they would turn away from God and be banished from eternal life?
I have no idea. See this scripture passage:

Pro 3:5 RSV Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight.

This is the beauty of the Genesis account of Creation. It is filled with sublime mysteries. Man being made in the image of God, “Let us make man in our own likeness”, and Adam’s fall, shows that man’s creation was not complete. This is shown after the falls when it is written that the tree of life should no longer be avialible of Adam and Eve as they had become like God knowing both good and evil. We learn in the Gospel of John that nothing was made without Jesus Christ, that He is the new Adam. Jesus being the Way, Truth and Light is how man was created to be. In other words Genesis is not complete and will not be completed in a general sense until mankind is truly in the image of God, being transformed into Jesus’. And this will not be complete until all that is recorded in the Book of Revelations has come to pass.

In a personal sense, when the soul of an individual has been transformed into the likeness of Our Lord Jesus then that man/woman has become made in the likeness of God.

We have to remember that Genesis is not about historical truths so much as spiritual ones. That is not to say that it holds no historical truths. I see it in this sense as a childrens story about real events. God Made all. I know this to be true.

Also remember that death and all that we live and see that belongs to the world’s way, is not the way it actually is in accordance with God’s way. Death can be life, we get to choose.

God Bless

How can one explain the different racial groups?

Wasn’t humanity completely wiped out during the time when dinosaurs were completely wiped out?

And if God knows ‘everything from beginning to end’ why did he put Adam and Eve on earth KNOWING they would turn away from God and be banished from eternal life?
Just my opinion: There are many Adam and Eve threads that discuss these subjects. Use the “search” facility to locate them. These questions have been explored.

Also, it helps others if you focus a thread on one subject and explain a bit why you are asking that question, that is, what is the angle on that question that you are posing.

Anyway, incest was not a sin at that time. In the Bible it says that God looks away (to use words we can understand) at times.

Genesis is not a science book or a history book. Read Gen 1:1, which is usually translated something like this: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

So…the account is a theological work, not science or history per se.

If you accept Gen 1:1, then a lot of the other special things in Genesis should be no problem for you. The books of the Bible were written individually following long oral traditions. They were written with faith for people who also had faith.

Even if you don’t believe in God, pray anyway. Pray for faith. Keep searching.
