The Bible account of Adam and Eve is interesting
Genesis : 3.
Now the serpent spoke to the woman, “Why did God command you not to eat of every tree in Paradise?” The woman replied, of all the Trees in Paradise we do eat, but of the Tree of Life and the Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil we are forbidden, for to do so we might die.
And the Serpent said to the woman: No you shall not die the Death for God does not want you to have the knowledge of Good and Evil because then you will be as God knowing Good and Evil !
Then the woman viewed the tree and saw that it was delightful to behold and the fruit was fair to the eyes and looked good to eat, and she took from the tree and did eat, she then went to Adam who also did eat.

“And the Lord God called Adam: where are you ? “
Adam replied: “I heard you coming into the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, so I hid from you”
The Lord God said to Adam, “Who told you that you were naked” …? obviously, you have disobeyed, and eaten the fruit, I commanded you not to eat.
Adam replied; The woman you gave to be my helper, gave me the fruit, and I ate.
Comment
Eve sinned, then informed Adam what she had done. Adam was not tempted
by Satan, yet he succumbed, possibly fearing separation of Eve.
Eve believed Satan and sinned, Adam chose to love Eve rather than God, or
Adam valued companionship more than God. Eve on the other hand did not
come to Adam and relay what the serpent had told her, instead, she did the
sin first, and then came to Adam, indicating, she expected to have power over Adam, by doing, what the serpent told her to do.
Satan in the form of serpent, lied to Eve, telling her, that she would be as God… if she had the knowledge of Good and Evil. Eve did not come to Adam, to inform him of what the serpent had said, but instead, she ate the fruit first, possibly believing that by doing so, she would reverse roles, and have by her new knowledge, dominion or power over Adam, but having experienced the loss of Grace, due to her Sin, she probably panicked, and then confessed to Adam what she had done.
Adam possibly, would have “horrified” by her revelation, then fearing the loss of his love, chose to do the same Sin. Since they were now both in mortal Sin, Satan had its influence in them, suggesting… that since The Holy Trinity is One God, they must go further, and enter each other. When they compounded the first sin, they were filled with Shame, Self Disgust, and Guilt, therefore unable to face the Lord God, they attempted to hide.
When questioned by the Lord God, they both attempted to proportion blame. Therefore they were unrepentant and suffered the consequences of un-repented Sin.
John the Baptist was put into prison and subsequently executed for pointing out to Herod his sin of adultery.
Christ states: Matt. 19:9.
“And I say to you, that whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committed adultery”
Adultery is a most serious sin, because it is repeating “Original Sin” done by Adam and Eve. To understand the enormity of this sin, we read in Genesis that Adam and Eve covered their shame, and attempted to hide from the Lord God in self disgust.
Adam and Eve before the fall, would have been like two young children, and having eaten the forbidden fruit, and believing the promise of Satan… that they would become as God… by being in each other… because “The Holy Trinity is One God”.
To inkling “Original Sin” is to see two young children, attempting sexual intercourse !
God used this evil act to good purpose, by making it be the product of the evolution of Man in the Holy Sacrament of Marriage in the context of the Family, which is the nucleus of the Church and the State.
Sexual intercourse outside of marriage, is genital intrusion of bodies for lust, which is one of the Seven Deadly Sins. It would seem that the Church today does not stress the seriousness of this sin, and the need to Repent. The State now recognises adultery and has new terminology for: “Your Partner”“The One Parent Family”“The Lone Parent”
The Church also closes its eyes to the fact, that many young people are living in sin, with the consent of Catholic Parents, and are not being called upon to Repent, by stopping, and living apart for a time before seeking the Holy Sacrament of Marriage.
These facts are borne out by the increasing numbers of children born out of wedlock.
Then there are those in “Second Relationships” [adultery] being given communion !
Surely we have a duty to point out the grievousness, and the damning consequences of un-repented sin. The Priesthood proves through the gift of celibacy, that no matter what the circumstances, the sin of adultery can never be justified.
