Boredom is met with desire. This desire is of a nature which frees us from our boredom. This is where Prudence is needed. If one gives into desire to be freed from boredom, then one must be aware to the truth that giving into desire will be met with more desire. Without this knowledge, and awareness, the virtue of Prudence is without effect.
