Hello, I’ll pray for you. You’ll need all the help you can get. Be strong.

God bless,
Noel.

Thanks, but I haven’t started yet 😃 Seriously, may God give you strength to overcome your addiction. With God’s help, you can’t fail!
the Lord knows before we utter it ! your intention matters 🙂 thank you again. It’s the first time i ask for a prayer and your answer meant a lot :o

injesus:

I’m praying for you to to stay away from this addiction.

Prayerfully,

Renato

Yes, it’s a difficult addiction. Have you done research on ways and means? The net? Pharmacies?
I do sympathise. It’s not just the act of smoking, it’s the kind of structure around it, or the trigger of sitting down to have a coffee etc…but seeing my nother-in-law struggling for breath, dying by millimetres, due to passive smoking…her husband smoked inside the house for years…if you find find any programs that help, please do.

Anyhow, God bless and help you as you strive to stop smoking. I smoked a packet a day when I was at university. Gave it up because I knew my husband wouldn’t appreciate a wife who smoked. It bothered me when having coffee for a while and when friends smoked. But couldn’t care less for years since.

That is to say, it does get better. Best wishes, and God bless you, Trishie 🙂

Praying for you. As an ex-smoker, I know how hard it is to quit. And I’m invited to a Memorial Day get-together this Sunday where there will be smokers. Since it’s an outdoor thing, I will be around them. I will offer up my temptation for you. I know it’s going to be hard… It will be 4 years in September, and I still want a cigarette badly every now and then. Luckily I don’t have to be around smokers most of the time.

It’s not easy…but it can be done. Praying hard. :byzsoc:

Praying for you. At least you want to quit and do something about it. I wish and pray my husband does soon too. I hope you can stop smoking soon.

Sovereign Lord, please pour out your power and strength into the life of INJesus, granting him the resolve and perseverance of your kingdom. Lift this shadow from his life and grant him your comfort and grace.

Above all, I pray for your power, both supporting and strengthening his efforts to throw off this burden, and destroying the power of smoking to bind the soul.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Your shining light fills us with awe.

Thy kingdom come, your virtues of strength and courage in the life of INJesus.

Thy will be done, your will to release INJesus.

On Earth as it is in heaven, with no barrier between the desire to do your will and the successful achieving of it.

Give us this day our daily bread, granting INJesus the blessings of your spiritual food that he needs in resisting this force and taste of your joy during this time of trial.

And for give us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, forgiving INJesus for any wrong he has done in this matter.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, delivering INJesus from the evil of smoking and from the temptation to continue it.

For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever, you all the magnificence and you the throne to do your will in this matter, and you have the eternal love to make your will manifest at this time. Amen.

Praise be to you, Lord Christ.
