Additional Baptism in Mixed Faith Marriages

Thank you–I understand this is your belief–it is not mine. I just dont believe baptism save or gives you grace. I believe baptism is something you do !. because Christ commanded it and 2. to show the world you believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior.

Well, then why not just have your son make a profession of faith where he tells the church community he believes Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior? That way, he still can show the world he believes in Jesus.

LOL --if you knew my son- you would know how monumental a task that would be for him.

There are 400 people in our church every Sunday–give or take a few. That is even too much for me to get up there let alone a 9 year old. Although the congregation would embrace him and show him nothing but love. But it would be that fear of public speaking thing
Of course this is also the problem Im going to have getting him baptized.

P.S. We do believe baptism is mandatory because Christ told us to do it. So it is important he be obediant to what Christ ordained.

Is it his choice, then, if you are the one “getting him baptised?” I thought your denomination taught that baptism must be the choice of the one getting baptised.

No Im not going to make him get baptized. I am going to explain to him the importance of it as will the church.
He has to do it of his own free will. Hopefully the Holy Spirit will convict him to do so sooner rather then later.
