Address an Abbot?

Hello
I want to write to a nearby Monastry to enquire about Benedictine Oblates ( a have a separate thread on the subject) but I’m not sure how one would address the Abbot - Would it be Father John or Brother John or some other title?

Normally, an Abbot is addressed simply as “Father Abbot.”
 
Oh! thanks for that, so his name is not required? just Father Abbot?

we also have several threads including a reference thread on the spirituality and vocations forums on oblates and secular orders in general, and on the Benedictines specifically. you might also see if the monastery has a website
