Adele "25" album

This is basically this year’s version of Taylor Swift’s “1989” - which is to say, it’s over-produced and very repeat-listening-friendly and I wouldn’t be surprised if Adele’s “25” isn’t mentioned in the same breath as Taylor Swift’s “1989” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” years from now.

I still don’t like “Hello” - though I really, really, really like “Remedy,” “Sweetest Devotion,” “Can’t Let Go” - which sounds like it could have been on “1989.” (And I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if it got offered to Taylor Swift to sing before Adele recorded it.)
 
Is she finally over that married guy? Oh wait, “Hello” would tell me no.

Adele, he’s taken, married, has kids - his wife should run after you so you can finally get the message … And then make another song about being born and raised in the summer haze and them being your glory days (how sad). 🙂
 
It’s a shame that Adele can’t be given the respect she deserves, here. Her range, her voice quality, and her overall abilities far exceed anything Taylor Swift could possibly ever record. While I will admit she is not my all time favorite artist, I have listened to her on and off for several years and greatly appreciate her talents. She obtained close to 45 U.S. and international awards during 2011-2013. I doubt that this happened because of any other reason than the fact that she is an accomplished artist with a powerful voice. I also commend her for taking time off to raise her child. Your caddy remarks and unkind statements are what’s really sad.

She is an amazing talent.
 
I bought the actual CD, I was listening to it in the car. I heard the first 3 songs I think. So far I like it. But my only complaint is that I’d wish Adele would stop making me cry! :crying:

Actually she took time off(at least at first) because she had vocal problems and was advised not to sing.

I agree with everything else though.

I just can’t help it.

It should be a crime to mention a talent like Adele and a pop star like swift in the same sentence.

Adele wrote hello she was not going to offer it to anyone.

Adele and swift in the same sentence is like cheetoes and filet mignon. One is a master artist and the other chews bubble gum

I guess I am a criminal. I like cheetoes, filet, and bubble gum, too. Like Taylor, Adele, Meagan, and several others. And I am a senior citizen. So lock me up!😛

Accordingly, record producer Max Martin has produced both Taylor Swift and Adele.

Taylor Swift’s “1989” has two producers in common with Adele’s “25”: Max Martin and Ryan Tedder. So, yes, Adele and Taylor Swift will be mentioned in the same sentence for a long time from now on.

FWIW, I do think Amy Winehouse was far more gifted and talented than Adele will ever be - Adele herself has even said as much in numerous interviews, including this one:
