The extended title would be: “Finding a New Spiritual Father (or Mother) for the Legion of Christ and Regnum Christi.” Here is a congregation and a movement that have been molested, orphaned and placed in Vatican child services (allegorically speaking). Who will spiritually adopt them? One proposal I’ve heard tossed around was Servant of God Luisa Piccareta. Luisa’s writings, or rather her mystical dialogues, on the Divine Will, recorded within the so-entitled Book of Heaven, are in the review process, though the outcome was hinted at when a marble statue of her publisher, Saint Hannibal Maria di Francia, was consecrated in Saint Peter’s square a few months ago, filling the last available niche. Others doubtless have proposed Saints Ignatius of Loyola, Jose Maria Escriva, even Teresa of Avila. What say ye?
