Hello every body,

I am not from england and I am not very good at English. But I have seen the forum about vocation in wich is about also Adoption of seminarian and priest.I would like to know more about that reality. I am a seminarian but I don’t know if I can be one of them. Is there some family to adopt me and pray for me?

Thank you very much

Georges

Hi Georges,

Welcome to the forum! It’s great that you are studying for the priesthood.

Where are you from and where are you studying?

Two groups that support seminarians are the Knights of Columbus and Serra. Do they exist in your area?

May God Bless your vocation abundantly!

I come from Burundi and study in ROME since laster year after.I had studied filosofy for 4 years in Burundi and ow I am studing theology. So , I don’t have information about Knights of Columbus or Serra.

See you later

I just did some Googling. The Knights are not in Italy, but the Serrans are. They are a lay apostolate of the Church that exists to support vocations.

serra.org/

Here’s their Italian web-site.

serraclubitalia.it/

I would contact them. They could probably find a family that would not only pray for you, but have you over to visit, etc.

I will also say a prayer for you.

God Bless

Thank you very much,
I will be very glad if you help me to contact them. I will visit the site and try to join them but I think It is better also if you touch with them about me and my situation.

God bless you.

Georges, I will say that probably none of us speak Italian. Perhaps someone there in Rome could help you with that website as it is Italian. God bless you.

As BSHoop said, I don’t speak Italian.

Perhaps you could ask someone at your seminary to help you contact them.

God Bless

Ok, I will try to contact them.
In these organizations, there must be someone who speak english and I now, many italians speak english.
In fact, it is not easy to have a chance to be granted by the organizations without someone to introduce you because they have a structure and organization with strict rules and perhaps it will make a long time.

If you feel the need for an introduction, why not ask the rector of your seminary if someone could call or write on your behalf.

I don’t think it should be too hard. The Serrans whole purpose is to support vocations. If you can get in touch with the appropriate person, I’m sure they’d be happy to help.

God Bless
