We attended Adoration of the Eucharist last night. My husband asked me if I noticed the monstrance moving and bending, I did not and can only assume this is a reassurance of his faith, a gift given to him by God…have you ever heard of such a thing happening? We are just curious.

I have never heard of that particular phenomenon, but God works in amazing ways, especially through the Eucharist. One time when I was at Adoration, I went up closer to kneel before our Lord, and when I looked up at the Monstrance, I could feel a wind, from the Monstrance, blowing through me, filling me with the Holy Spirit. It almost knocked me down. It was incredible.

msiowa,
I too, have never heard of that particular phenomen, but have experienced the power of God’s love through Adoration of the Eucharist on more than one occasion. I hesitate to share, because those who have not had such ‘experiences’ sometimes think they are ‘doing it wrong’…so to speak.
On one occassion, I was kneeling before the monstrance and a ‘wave’ swept over me and I was filled with the Holy Spirit leading me to pray deeply for healing and unity in our parish. We had been having some difficulties with division, and I went to Adoration seeking peace in this difficult situation. It was like the Holy Spirit just sort of took over and was guiding my soul to a more intimiate union with Jesus in order to pray more deeply to Him. I just remember that during this this time, the prayer was not about whom was right and whom was right, but just a very powerful sense of love and peace.
Miracles (not that this is a ‘miracle’) are always possible with the Eucharist.
Blessings and prayers for you as you and your husband seek discernment in this.

Yes. This phenomena can happen to anyone. I don’t think that it’s supernatural though. It has happened to me on more than one occassion when I was focusing too hard in one place. The lighting can also affect it. It can distract you from your prayers.

Yup. Happens to me too when I stare. It has happened to me in more than one chapel too, but stronger lighting tends to make it bend more.
