The Catholic school in our area has Adoration every first friday but no Benediction at the end of the day - the priest simply comes in and takes the host out of the monstrance and places it back in the tabernacle. I’ve never seen this done before. Is there a reason why Benediction would not be held after a day of Adoration? Is this common?
