Adoration Chapel

My protestant friends don’t understand what an adoration chapel is, or very much else about Catholicism. However, I mentioned what quiet and lovely place the chapel is, and they are expressing interest. How do I show them my beautiful church and adoration chapel? I am afraid that I will drive them further from the church when I explain my faith, but even though they are wary they just seem so interested!

Explain the faith accuratly and faithfully and most important live the faith day in and day out.

Like us, our non-Catholic brothers and sisters share the same basic beliefs as stated in the Apostles Creed. Many include the Nicene Creed in their Sunday worship services.
The Adoration Chapel is a place of worship. As you invite your friends to join you, explain that silence is expected. You can use your hand to indicate where they might sit as you silently kneel before the Blessed Sacrament. Make your visit a short one.
I will be returning to the Middle East next months where everybody removes their shoes before entering the Adoration Chapel.
This is a case where simple gestures such as kneeling and crossing your self will be more effective than any words you might use. Place all in God’s hands and do not worry. Trust Him to give you any necessary words.

Then if the concept of Real Presence comes up as it surely must… tackle that after. They will ‘get it’ about being there to pray and such… remember Jesus is there, He’ll be actively working with you! Real Presence takes more explanation, have your answers in mind in simple terms, perhaps look up a good concise definition on the forum here. Pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit. This is a great opportunity! Blessings!
