Adoration for Election Day?

I was thinking it would be a nice idea for my parish to hold Eucharistic Adoration on Election Day so that we could come in and pray on this very important day. Is this a silly idea? I really don’t know much about Adoration, so I’m not sure that this is an entirely appropriate idea. We currently have Adoration once a month and the scheduled date would not fall on Nov. 7. Is this a good idea or not?

Sounds appropriate for people to spend some time in prayer before going to the polls, especially in today’s world of chaos and uncertainty. Understandably, people who work, go to school, etc., may not be able to attend Adoration as well as go vote. Speak with your pastor if you are interested. Perhaps it would be appropriate the day before instead, so that people won’t be in that much chaos on Election Day. Or perhaps you can go to Holy Mass instead before going to the polls. My mother used to go to daily Mass on our birthdays. I applaud you for your wisdom.
