Adoration in mortal sin?

I think there is never a good reason to separate yourself from God. I know the Church has a policy of not wanting to give Eucharist to those in mortal sin, but in my opinion this is wrong.

I am glad you were clear to point out that this is only your opinion- but the Church teaches that it is a sacrilege to receive communion in a state of mortal sin. Remember that St. Paul wrote that whoever receives the Eucharist unworthily (i.e. in a state of mortal sin) brings judgment on themselves.

God wants all sinners to come to him. He did not turn away Mary Magdalene — a harlot, he supped with Zacchaeus — an usurer, and he even broke bread with Judas!

and he also said that it would have been better for Judas had he never been born.

Jesus has always reached out to sinners who repent of your sin. If you have not repented or fully accepted Christ, then to present yourself before Jesus and God as if you had and are welcoming His Grace is a mockery. But if you truly have repented, then you are already forgiven and to keep yourself from Him is a mistake.

It is clearly the teaching of the Church that a person aware of mortal sin is not to receive the Eucharist until they have made a good confession. Receiving the Eucharist is a major event! It isn’t something we should ever take lightly.
