Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

I had a bit of a revelation tonight during the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
I was repeating Sanctus sanctus sanctus ... Then I realized that the angels and the Cherubim and Seraphim are praising our Lord in heaven at the same time that we were in His presence in our church all praising our Lord Jesus together. The communion of the saints suddenly felt very real.
As we said in the 60s, it blew my mind`.

This Lent our pastor has given our parish a great gift:
On Friday nights we have Adoration from 6-7pm and he is available for confession. At 7 we celebrate Mass. That is immediately followed by the Stations of the Cross.
Tonight he announced that the adoration and Mass will continue until summer. 🙂
(He is the only priest for a rural parish, and not a small one. God bless our priests. Even if they do celebrate the OF Mass. 😉 )
 
I had that same exact revelation when I read “The Lamb’s Supper” by Scott Hahn. It explained how everything in the Mass is in the Bible. It was incredible.

I had almost the same experience and feeling during a funeral Mass today in singing the Hosannah in the highest. How blest you are to have the opportunity for Adoration extended in your parish. I had not been in this particular church for a couple of years, a relatively new building, and was so pleased to see the chapel and tabernacle, which had been in a remote, inaccessible corner, has been restored with glass walls, very beautiful prominent setting, and learned also that Adoration times have been restored, which bodes very well for them.
 
👍 I love Adoration! I just found out they are building an Adoration in the Crypt at my Church, I’m excited haha. I love our Catholic faith
