I have a silly question, but I don’t know for sure so I thought I would ask you folks

I have been going to adoration for years - can’t believe how time flies

5 years ago or so I found myself attracted to a guy at work - really nice guy. But as it turns out his wife had just wigged out and ran across the country with his kids. So he was in no place to get to know me - then he was moved to a different building so I never see him no anyway

a couple of years ago I stumbled upon the fact that he has a time slot at adoration. I have gone a few times so our paths cross - but no interaction or anything I mean its the adoration chapel I don’t talk in there

my sister suggested that while he is there and I am there that I should ask him what book he is reading… but you know I just don’t know. Are we supposed to talk in the adoration chapel?

now I can’t decide if I am just afraid to talk to him or if I am just trying to do what I am supposed to do

what do you guys think? is it ok to quietly talk in the adoration chapel?

No.

This is not the place to get a date.
If he talks to you after he leaves, and you are leaving that’s quite a different thing.

Your time with the Lord is precious. Pray for this man and his family…

But as it turns out his wife had just wigged out and ran across the country with his kids.
Very simple, this has nothing to do with adoration and more to do with the Sacrament of Marriage: He is a married person, IMHO, stay away from this situation and this person until and unless they can get their life “back on track.”

it is okay to talk outside the Adoration chapel.

I have had brief conversations with another person if we are the only two people there, but not if a third person or more is there.

Do you know what his marital status is? If he is still married I would leave it alone.

Uh, who are you there to adore?

You do not know this man’s marital status, and should just leave him alone. If you can’t do that, change your time slot so your oaths don’t cross.

thank you for your replies. I know his divorce is final but I have no idea about annulment

you affirmed what I felt in my gut.

To be clear it was my sister’s suggestion and I am not there for “a date”.
